David Liu with the Seidman lab publish report in Nature Medicine

In this study, two different genetic therapies were made using virus (AAV9) to deliver gene editing CRISPR guides to the heart.  The work showed significant potential for a single dose to correct the genetic misspellings which cause hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a disorder that increases risk of sudden cardiac death and affects around 1 in 500 people.  Read the full paper here.
