DPhil Student, Radcliffe Department of Medicine (Division of Cardiovascular Medicine), University of Oxford
Prior to starting my DPhil Max completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bath and an MSc in Genomic Medicine at Imperial College London, where his research focused on identifying patterns of differential gene expression in endothelial cells from healthy and ischaemic cardiomyopathy patients.
Max’s DPhil project utilises patient-specific iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC-CMs) to investigate how polygenic background can influence disease mechanisms in both sarcomere-positive and -negative hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
