Research Fellow in Genetics, Department of Genetics, Harvard Medical School
Christoph is a physician-scientist with a scientific background in cardiac genetics, molecular and cell biology and bioinformatics and is a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Christine Seidman and Dr. Jonathan Seidman. He has a strong interest in the genetics of cardiac and muscle disease, gene therapy and regeneration. He received his medical degree from the Heidelberg University, Germany, investigating protein homeostasis during cardiac hypertrophy, and completed his PhD at the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research in Heidelberg, Germany where he studied gene expression networks during cardiac remodeling and inflammation. During his clinical training at the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, his research focused on genetics of pediatric heart disease. His current work in the Seidman Lab focuses on the investigation of cellular and molecular properties of the pediatric heart and its changes during maturation and disease.
