I completed my PhD in 2017 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Durban, South Africa) under the mentorship of Professor Fernando Albericio, focusing on peptide synthesis with an emphasis on sustainable chemistry and antimicrobial peptides. In 2019, I joined the multidisciplinary team of Professor Matthew Wood at the University of Oxford, investigating the development of RNA-based medicines for neuromuscular diseases, with a focus on advanced generation antisense oligonucleotides.
